James Muir Sculptures

Liberté, Some Gave All, Glory, Trails End

For the Red Spiritual Man:

“Though I am dead; The sun will shine. The grass will grow. The stream will flow.”

It was . . . . “a good day to die.”
For the White/Intelligent Man:

“To die for an idea is unquestionably noble. But how much nobler it would be if men died for ideas that were true.”
H. L. Meneken

“It didn’t matter that they faced death on every war party—their horses stood in belly deep grass, the sun watched over them and the Great Spirit rode on the wind. It was a time to be close to the earth”
As I stated in my earlier comments, I had bought two bronze sculptures from James and my wife chose "Glory" as her first. Being that her interests are the Civil War era and the Old West, her next logical choice was "Trails End". This sculpture depicts the ongoing struggle between the "White Man" and the "Red Man". It also gave us one more tribute in bronze to those fallen in our countries history.

I regret having to part with James' tributes, but circumstances being what they are, I have to and all of the sculptures on this site are for sale. I don't really need the money, it's more of a personal decision. If you are interested in purchasing any of the pieces on this site, drop me a line and let me know. Please, serious inquiries only
